step 3: optional - printed products

This is completely optional, as you can use your digital files to have your own prints and products made. But if you want access to the best quality products and want someone to do the heavy lifting of designing and ordering for you, this is a service I love to offer. After all, you didn't invest in this experience for these memories to only live on your hard drive.

Printed products include loose and fine art prints that will be available through your gallery, as well as the custom-designed products you see below.

frequently asked questions:

Just a little. I can definitely do that too, and that's $1650. But that's a big investment, and I know I'd be a little nervous to commit to that without really knowing how things are going to even turn out! I break up the fee so you have a chance to see the outcome before deciding if you just want some pictures or if you want them all. My galleries are robust and most clients buy all...but this gives you options.

I also put a lot of time and energy into photoshoots outside of the actual hour we're together. The actual shoot constitutes a very small percentage of my time and energy! The creative fee ensures that I am compensated at least a little bit for that time if a client was to cancel at the last minute or choose to not purchase any images, which is your right if you just really don't like anything I deliver. But don't worry - I've never had that happen and don't intend to!

No, I am not a mini-session photographer. And if you just want a couple nice updated pictures, I'm probably not the photographer for you.

I take a lot of time with my seniors, both in preparation and on shoot day. I want them to have time to warm up and relax into the session so I see their best and most natural faces. I give a lot of variety and huge galleries.

If that's not what you're after, that's totally fine! Luckily there are tons of photographers that do what you're looking for. Just not me!

I love collaborating with my seniors and want each photoshoot to be custom and showcasing the beauty of your unique personality and style. However, I do have a consistent style, both in how I shoot and how I edit. It's important to really look through a photographer's work and make sure you love their style. Pay attention to how they edit and make sure you'll be happy with that look 10 years down the road (there are always editing trends that look dated by that time). If you don't really love my style, that's fine! But I won't change how I shoot and edit to match another style, so be sure you're happy with mine!

As for getting certain poses or types of shots, I definitely want to hear your ideas and am happy to look at a few inspiration photos to get a general idea of what you have in mind. I always ask clients if they have something specific they want captured and am happy to do that. The session is for you! But you're also hiring me because you love what I do. I've found that the more time I spend trying to re-create something else, the less I end up liking the outcome of the whole shoot. Each session unfolds differently and when I can just roll with it, that's when I do my best work.

Clients often intend to get their images made into artwork for their home but have a hard time deciding just what to get or making it a priority to get it done. And a year later the pictures are still just on a hard drive!

Your pictures are an investment that aren't meant to just live on your computer, and part of my expertise is guiding you through this process. You can absolutely DIY it with your digital files more economically, and I'll suggest a few labs when I send your images.

But if you prefer to outsource this job or want a higher quality product than you can get through a consumer lab, I'm happy to provide design services and provide access to a professional lab. After you see your gallery and purchase your digital images, you just let me know if this is something you're interested in and we go from there. Once we determine the product you want, I'll send an invoice and then start designing.

  • If you purchase an album or mini books, I'll ask some questions to get direction and then create a design. You'll be able to see the proof online and request any swaps or changes before I get your final approval and send it off to the lab.
  • If you want to purchase framed or acrylic prints to create a gallery wall, I can create mockups of different groupings and sizes on your own walls to help you visualize exactly what fits your space best.
  • Need options for grandparents or gifts? I'm happy to make suggestions and do the creative heavy lifting for you.

can i purchase loose prints?

Yes! After your order is put in, you will receive access to my professional lab through an online shop through your gallery. There you can purchase loose photographic or fine art prints of the digital images you purchased to fill frames around your house or to gift to relatives. You can also share the gallery and shop with family members who can purchase prints for themselves.

This is a big investment.
Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, I am happy to offer a few different options for payment plans. Products and files will be delivered once they are paid for in full. Just ask if you want to talk about some options.
