The Newborn Experience

After you've looked around here to get your initial questions answered and you know you like my style, your next step is to fill out the contact form below to reach me. I'll get back to you within 24 hours (if it's the weekend, you'll hear from me Monday). If you don't get a response in 24 hours, check your spam folder.

We can chat through email, or I'm happy to schedule a phone call or Zoom (or if you have Marco Polo, that's my favorite way to chat back and forth) so we can get your questions answered efficiently. It's also really nice for us to meet "face (to screen) to face" because we can get to know each other better and get a better feel for if we're a good fit. It's important to feel comfortable with your photographer!

1. Say Hello

Your questions are answered and you're so excited to make it official! I'll send over a booking proposal where you'll select your session option, sign a contract and pay your creative fee. Once I sign too then you are OFFICIALLY BOOKED, YAY!

Once it's official I'll send a detailed guide your way. That guide walks you through every step of the process and includes a San Antonio location guide, a style guide, a link to my Client Closet, and all kinds of other ideas to get you thinking about how we can best capture this sweet season of your life.

2. Schedule it

After you've had a chance to go through the photoshoot guide, you will fill out a short questionnaire for me with your thoughts and preferences. I know you're busy and I don't want to pile more on your plate, but the guide and questionnaire really help get you thinking about ideas you may not have considered and let me organize all your information so I can best serve you best.

I LOVE collaborating with clients and am happy to have additional phone calls or Marco Polo chats throughout the planning process. I've had moms text me pictures from dressing rooms for feedback while they're out shopping and I love it when you feel comfortable enough with me to do that!

3. Planning

It's picture day! We've been communicating and being flexible about the schedule, since babies don't really care about calendars. You're a little tired but you were good and prepared ahead of time and this day will be one of sweet connection with your new addition while I am quietly in the background giving guidance when needed.

Mama, you might be feeling uncomfortable in your postpartum body, but I promise I will help you find beautiful flattering clothes and I will capture you at great angles and in great light. When you look back at these pictures, what will stand out to you is the love you have for your baby and the sweet connection you feel. And that is always beautiful.

4. Your Session

In a couple weeks you'll get an email to access your full gallery. There you'll be able to see all your edited images, select your favorites and decide what you want to purchase. I can get to work creating custom artwork or if you prefer to DIY it the digital files are always an option too. Most people want the digitals and also love having me do the work of designing and ordering some products too...but no purchasing decisions are made until you see your pictures and know EXACTLY what you want.

full investment guide given upon inquiry

Investment starts at $1000

I am a full-service San Antonio newborn photographer, which means I hold your hand through the entire process and make it as stress-free for you as possible to get amazing pictures and to get them made into products. When you're ready to book, you pay my creative fee that reserves your session and gets us going on the planning process, but you don't have to commit to any further purchasing decisions until you've seen your images and know exactly how much you love them.

A few weeks after our session you'll receive a gallery with your edited images. At that point you can build your own custom collection of digital images and optional custom printed products.

After trying several photographers in the San Antonio area, I am SO glad that I found Cassey Golden Photography! So happy, that I came back after my maternity photos for a family newborn session. For both sessions we did a porch session - suuuuper nice not having to hike through the woods, find parking somewhere in the middle of the city as well. Through both sessions, my family and I felt very at ease and welcome and if we had any requests for certain poses/photos that we can certainly make that request. I also had a toddler with me for both maternity and family photos and Cassey being able to work with him and his squirminess was a huge stress reliever because he is sure a handful sometimes! If you are looking for a great photographer, great communication and quick turn around time for beautiful airy photos this is the photographer for you!

We had Cassey over to our house family pictures and I HIGHLY recommend her! Her friendly outgoing personality put at all at ease, even my stubborn toddler! ALL of the photos she took were pure magic and beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone reading this and all of my friends!
