back to main

The full session. If you want a session that isn't run by the clock, with plenty of time to loosen up and grab lots of interactive moments, we can spend 1-2 hours together during Golden Hour. For seniors, this is the full experience. For families and couples, this is the session where we really capture how you interact - the longer time frame is great for giving you time to warm up and settle into a rhythm where I can really capture your relationships best. Kids can take a snack or bottle break without us worrying about running out of time. These sessions include some "smile at the camera" shots but also a lot more of the unposed, interactive moments that you REALLY want to remember 10 years down the road. My goal is that this feels like a fun family date for you and you just happen to be dressed nicely and have a photographer tagging along!

Porch  Sessions

These great little sessions are located on my beautiful upper porch. They're highly discounted because they're so convenient for me, as you're coming right to me at my historical home on Fort Sam Houston.

senior Sessions

a note on

I consider senior sessions to be the full session. A full senior session typically includes 3-4 outfit changes and multiple different backdrops. I love the variety we get in these sessions and (shhh, don't tell the others) they're my favorite work that I do. Once booked, I have an extensive senior guide that walks you through the process of planning out these sessions so we can include SO MANY THINGS about what makes this time in your life special and I love spending the evening with you and capturing your interests and personality and delivering a TON of beautiful images to you.

HOWEVER, I know not everyone needs that full senior picture experience (this is usually the guys). So it is my strong recommendation that seniors are a full session...but not a requirement. If you want a much smaller gallery of images to choose from (and if we're efficient we can sneak in one quick clothing change) then you can choose the mini shoot, and if you truly just need a couple headshots for graduation cards or the yearbook, my headshot package may fit your needs best. Feel free to chat with me first if you have questions about which route to go!

Also, if you know you want to book me for your senior pictures but aren't sure when to do them, I recommend earlier! It's so nice to have your pictures to use throughout your senior year. And a LOT of people put it off and then photographers get pretty booked up for the end of the year. So I recommend booking early so we can have plenty of time to plan and you get to use them (or show them off!) all year long. And I offer Cap & Gown minis closer to graduation (that you can earn for free!) so you can grab a few of those special shots too, even if you didn't have the stuff available for an earlier full senior session.

Booking a session means you pay a 50% deposit and we both sign a contract, and then we're officially working together! The remaining 50% is due the day after our session takes place.

I encourage you to book as soon as you know you want to do pictures, even if we are still nailing down just when the shoot will take place. I have an in-depth client guide and location guide that I send over once you book, and often the location you want can make a difference on the date/time of day we book anyway. Ideally this is a few months out. People often wait until they're just a few WEEKS out from actually wanting pictures to start contacting photographers, but then we end up kind of rushing through the planning process. I spend a good amount of time discussing location and clothing with families before the shoot and this gives us time to plan and for you to possibly shop for a new piece or two. Not to mention that in the busier seasons, photographers are often booking up well in advance and you may end up missing out on the time you want. So don't wait to make it official, and I promise it pays off when we have time to get all the details just right!
