This sweet sunrise session and gender reveal was so fun. She thought it was a boy, so she started in blue, and he thought girl and wore pink. We did the first half of their session as they anticipated the big reveal, then they changed into white and we did the reveal.

It's always fun to incorporate big siblings into maternity photos. It's an exciting time for them too! This dreamy session took place at a location that let us play in the water and then head to a field as the sun set for that beautiful golden glow.

I love sessions on my own upper porch, my hybrid studio at my house on historical Fort Sam Houston in downtown San Antonio.
This setting gives us the glowy light of outdoor sessions with the coziness of indoor sessions in a beautiful white outdoor studio that I can't get enough of. It's also really easy to do quick changes here to get lots of variety in your session.

The Maternity Experience
Let's see if you're anything like me. I thought being pregnant sounded SO magical and I just couldn't wait. But then it happened....and I had intense back pain and was so uncomfortable in my much softer new body and I just didn't really want to document all that forever. Oh how I wish now that I'd gotten better pictures of that time! My husband was actually pretty decent with my camera...but I needed someone who knew angles and lighting and could highlight the magical parts (because some of it was!) and help me to see the beauty of that season that I now look back on with such fondness. Don't miss out on the chance to capture this special season of anticipating your new family member.

After you've looked around here to get your initial questions answered and you know you like my style, your next step is to fill out the contact form below to reach me. I'll get back to you within 24 hours (if it's the weekend, you'll hear from me Monday). If you don't get a response in 24 hours, check your spam folder.
We can chat through email, or I'm happy to schedule a phone call or Zoom (or if you have Marco Polo, that's my favorite way to chat back and forth) so we can get your questions answered efficiently. It's also really nice for us to meet "face (to screen) to face" because we can get to know each other better and get a feel for if we're a good fit. It's important to mesh well with your photographer!
I recommend scheduling photos for between 28-36 weeks...but contact me as soon as you can to be sure you can get on my schedule at the best time.
1. Say Hello
Your questions are answered and you're so excited to make it official! I'll send over a booking proposal where you'll select your session option, sign a contract and pay your creative fee. Once I sign too then you are officially booked.
Once booked I'll send a detailed guide your way. That guide walks you through every step of the process and includes a San Antonio location guide, a style guide, a link to my Client Closet, and all kinds of other ideas to get you thinking about how we can best capture this sweet season of your life.
2. Schedule it
After you've had a chance to go through the photoshoot guide, you will fill out a short questionnaire for me with your thoughts and preferences. I know you're busy and I don't want to pile more on your plate, but the guide and questionnaire really help get you thinking about ideas you may not have considered and let me organize all your information so I can best serve you best.
I LOVE collaborating with clients and am happy to have additional phone calls or Marco Polo chats throughout the planning process. I've had mamas text me pictures from dressing rooms for feedback while they're out shopping and I love it when you feel comfortable enough with me to do that!
3. Planning
It's picture day! I checked in with you leading up to it to confirm starting time and parking details and last-minute tips and now you just have to get looking your best and show up!
Mama, you do NOT need to be a model for this. You don't need to have any idea what to do in front of the camera - I will guide you and give cues the whole time. I promise I'll make it easy and laid-back and fun. I will capture you at great angles and in great light. When you look back at these beautiful portraits, you won't be thinking about nausea or backaches, but fondly remembering what an honor it was to get to carry your sweet baby inside you.
4. Your Session
I know you're so excited to get a glimpse of how things came out, so a few days after our shoot I'll post a few sneak peeks on Instagram. If you follow me, I'll be able to tag you and that lets you repost to your page or stories too. So exciting!
In a couple weeks you'll get an email to access your full gallery. There you'll be able to see all your edited images, select your favorites and decide what you want to purchase. I can get to work creating custom artwork or if you prefer to DIY it the digital files are always an option too. Most people want the digitals and also love having me do the work of designing and ordering some products too...but no purchasing decisions are made until you see your pictures and know EXACTLY what you want.
5. Your Photographs

I am a full-service San Antonio maternity photographer, which means I hold your hand through the entire process and make it as stress-free for you as possible to get amazing pictures and to get them made into products. When you're ready to book, you pay my creative fee that reserves your session and gets us going on the planning process, but you don't have to commit to any further purchasing decisions until you've seen your images and know exactly how much you love them.
One-two weeks after our session you'll receive a gallery with your edited images. At that point you can decide exactly what you want. You can purchase just digital files, beautiful custom products designed by me, or any combination of the two.

Where do I even begin?! From the initial inquiry I made about booking a session to the delivery of our photo gallery, Cassey made every part of the process so easy and fun! Picking coordinating outfits usually stresses me out, but Cassey provides simple guides and collaborated with me via Marco Polo in such a way that I actually enjoyed it. She answered all of my questions and helped us choose the perfect location for the session based on our wants/needs. Seriously just can’t recommend her enough.
The final images in our gallery were gorgeous! I mean STUNNING! She strives to not only capture beautiful images but ones that also show you- your natural personality- your chemistry- the real YOU. We also had a great time during the shoot even though it ended up being colder than we expected and had two kids to wrangle. We can’t wait to work with Cassey again!
